Botox
Botox - What is it
The aging process involves reduction in the production of collagen and elastin, both basic components of our skin's elasticity. In areas with great mobility, such as the face, wrinkles start to emerge. This process can be stopped by reducing the range of movement of the underlying muscles, who are responsible for those wrinkles.
Botox weakens or eliminates these dynamic (expressive) wrinkles both in men and women.
Its basic indications are in the upper third of the face, i.e. between the eyebrows, in the forehead and the ‘goose feet'.
Compared to women, botox in men ows to be discreet and allow some degree of movement, in order to be more inconspicuous and to avoid creating a 'frozen' face.
Indications
- deep expression wrinkles of the upper third of your face (around your eyes and forehead)
- hyper-dynamic muscles of the lower third of your face (around your mouth and your neck)
Technique
Following a thorough anatomical analysis Botox is injected through a small needle straight onto the muscles responsible for the wrinkles. The discomfort is negligible.
Advantages
Botox will offer you:
- a naturally fresh look
- a more relaxed face
