Neck-Lift
Neck-Lift - What is it
Usually laxity first occurs in someone's neck. Fatty jowls, loss of jaw definition and vertical and horizontal creases all give an older impression.
A neck lift improves all these features and the contour of the jawline. Neck- lift is often performed as a stand-alone procedure, but it can also be combined with liposuction, facelift, blepharoplasty and cheek-augmentation.
Indications
- double- chin
- poor jaw-line definition
- excess skin and wrinkles on your neck
Technique
Under general anaesthesia or sedation an incision is made in the back of your ear, through which the saggy tissues are lifted and anchored in the desired position.
If excessive fat is an issue (‘double- chin’) then liposuction via a tiny, incospicuous hole is performed to remove it.
An elastic bandage is worn for approximately 1 week.
Advantages
- significantly improves your neck and jawline definition
- provides you with a more youthful profile
