Rhinoplasty - What is it

Placed right in the centre of the face, our nose plays a key-role in the image the others form about us.
Its functional role is equally important, since our nose is the 'gate' through which a function as vital as breathing takes place.

It is therefore unsurprising that year after year rhinoplasty remains one of the most frequently performed operations among both men and women worldwide.

Indications

undesired shape, size or angle of your nose
large, small or unproportional nose to the rest of your face
breathing problems resulting from irregularities inside your nose
nasal hump or drooping nasal tip

Technique

The operation is performed under general anesthesia and its duration and type (open Vs closed) is variable, depending on each individual case. Postoperatively, the patient carries a splint for 5 days and can be bruised- oedematous for up to 10 days.

The final, permanent result becomes apparent after 2-3 months, when oedema (swelling) fully subsides.

Each nose is unique and should be treated individually. The ultimate goal is a functional nose in harmony with each patient’s face.
